My back-piece. It’s based on some 17th century illustrations of constellations (specifically Cetus and Aquila, which I’m well aware are nowhere near each other). I’ve always been really interested in space and exploration, so it seemed fitting to get some work done that represented that in some way.

Just a suggestion I would like to make- people should start watermarking their photos before submitting. There’s free, easy to use tools online. I’m sad that I keep seeing beautiful work being submitted and when it ends up on another site there’s no source!
I got this tattoo of a phoenix, because my family is Vietnamese and traditionally we write our last name, Ho, using the Chinese character meaning phoenix. You can imagine the kind of jokes I get because of my family name, but I am proud of my heritage and the meaning behind my family name. The image of a phoenix is from a book of paintings of traditional Japanese mythological beasts.
